Silk Georgettes
Silk georgette is a fine, plain woven, crepe fabric. It is also very light weight and usually contains two highly twisted S and two highly twisted Z yarns. Silk georgette has a grainy texture and a sheer feel. The fabric is very thin and dry hand. Silk georgette is similar to silk crepe but is heavier than silk chiffon even though it is not as soft as silk crepe. Silk georgette is commonly used for blouses, skirts, evening wear and scarves.
